Deposits for Inmates

Midland Inmates

The Sheriff's Office offers two ways to deposit funds into inmate's accounts.

  1. If you are at the Jail facility, you may deposit money into an inmate account by using the Canteen Kiosk which is conveniently located in the main lobby.  The Kiosk accepts Cash or Credit. No money orders or checks.
  2. You can do it online from anywhere by going to www.expressaccount.com. Alternatively you can call them at 1-866-422-6833. You will need your credit or debit card, arrestee's name.
  3. To order commissary items by phone call: 1-888-634-0034 (Monday-Thursday 9:30am to 3:30pm)
Mich. Dept. of Corrections Inmates

Persons depositing money into accounts for MDOC Inmates must continue to deposit funds into the prisoner’s MDOC Trust account as they did before the inmate came to the Midland County Jail. For assistance, please go to the website www.michigan.gov/corrections. Click on Frequently asked Questions. Scroll down to Prisoners-Sending money to a prisoner. If you need the prisoners MDOC number, please go to OTIS (Offender Tracking Information System) on your computer or get the number from the inmate. Persons will not be allowed to deposit money into the Midland County Jail account.

**MONEY DEPOSITED INTO THE COUNTY JAIL ACCOUNT FOR MDOC INMATES WILL BE FROZEN UNTIL TIME OF DISCHARGE OF THE INMATE.

NOTE: PUTTING MONEY INTO A MDOC PRISONER'S ACCOUNT (OR ANY INMATE'S ACCOUNT) IN AN EFFORT TO GET AROUND THE SYSTEM COULD RESULT IN PROSECUTION.
