As of 6 p.m. Saturday, May 23, the Tittabawassee River level was 20.17 feet and receding. This is below the flood stage of 24 feet.
The boil water advisory issued for some residents in Hope and Edenville townships serviced by Water District #1 of Midland County has been lifted. Two areas remain under a boil water advisory or without water service at this time.
Midland County emergency management officials are astonished by and grateful for the outpouring of support, donations, and volunteer requests from across the nation following recent flooding events.
Persons in, on or around the Edenville and Sanford Dams or walking and recreating in the Wixom and Sanford Lake beds are in imminent danger of flash flooding and further dam erosion and collapse.
Midland County residents who have flood debris and other items for disposal have several options available to them at this time.
