The Midland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a single vehicle traffic crash that claimed the life of a 33 year old Sanford man. The incident took place on North Water Road near West Baker Road in Edenville Township at approximately 4:20 pm on September 30, 2019.
Our investigation indicates that the driver, Glenn Faylor, age 35 from Sanford, was driving his white 2008 Ford Ranger pick-up truck and was heading northbound on North Water Road. The driver started to lose control, over corrected which caused the vehicle to overturn and roll several times. The vehicle then left the roadway to the left and struck a ditch.
Mr. Faylor’s brother, Mark Faylor, age 33, was a front seat passenger in the pick-up truck.
Glenn Faylor was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. Mark Faylor’s seat belt use is currently unknown. The front airbags did deploy in the vehicle.
Both Glenn and Mark Faylor were transported to Mid-Michigan Medical Center by EMS. Mark Faylor was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. Glenn Faylor was hospitalized with severe injuries.
Alcohol use may have been a factor in this crash. We are waiting for toxicology reports for a final determination. This report will be forwarded to the Midland County Prosecutor’s Office for review once it has been completed.
The Midland County Sheriff’s Office were assisted at the scene by Mid-Michigan Medical Center EMS and Edenville Fire Rescue.
