The Midland County Sheriff's Office is investigating a single vehicle traffic crash that claimed the life of a 63 year old Gladwin man. The incident took place on eastbound US 10 west of North Stark Road in Lincoln Township at approximately 11:21 am on June 1, 2017.
Our investigation indicates that the driver, Robert Falconberry, age 63 from Gladwin, was driving his red 2005 Ford F-350 eastbound on US 10. The vehicle went off the road to the right down the emankment where it struck a ditch and then some trees. Mr. Falconberry was pronounced dead at the scene.
While there is no evidence to indicate that alcohol or drugs may have been a factor in this crash, we are waiting for toxicology reports for a final determination. This report will be forwarded to the Midland County Prosecutor's Office for review once it has been completed.
The Midland County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by Mid Michigan EMS, Lincoln Township Fire Rescue, Jerome Township Fire Rescue, Midland City Police, Midland County Road Commission and Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. J. Daniel Cline.
