Court Recorder/Judicial Assistant - District Court
Under the supervision of the District Court Judge and Attorney/Magistrate - Deputy Court Administrator, utilizes and maintains electronic recording equipment to record court proceedings. Prepares logs of court proceedings while recording all court activity. Prepares official transcripts of proceedings. Provides administrative support services to the Judge. Schedules and maintains the Court’s docket in accordance with statutory time requirements. Authorizes adjournments and resolves scheduling conflicts. Organizes files for the Court and ensures parties have been properly noticed. Prepares opinions, correspondence and other documents, screens callers, maintains office files and performs other administrative functions.
Associate’s Degree in paralegal studies or related field and two years of progressively more responsible administrative support experience in a court, law office, or related setting. Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License. Michigan Court Reporting Certification from the Michigan Supreme Court. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of the State of Michigan District Court system and providing administrative support in a court environment. Considerable knowledge of the State of Michigan District Court system, procedures and statutes, basic court proceedings and scheduling, performing research and maintaining detailed and accurate records. Strong skills in proofreading, reviewing forms, documents, and reports. Skill in assembling and analyzing data and preparing accurate reports. Skill in effectively communicating ideas and concepts orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to maintain professional integrity and respect for victims, witnesses, and families, including the ability to effectively meet and deal with the public.
Current salary range starting at $19.64/hr progressing to $25.52/hr (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

Multiple positions (Part-Time- 20 hours)
Looking for part time Correctional Deputies to fill openings. Duties for this position include conducting security rounds, accepting and releasing inmates, and working with inmates and civilians and other duties as assigned by Sheriff’s Office Administration.
Candidates must pass a Background check, Physical agility test, Psychological and Medical Evaluation and meet all MSCTC standards, including a passing score on the EMPCO Corrections test prior to appointment. Hourly rate starting at $15.59 progressing to $27.31 on a 5 year wage scale.

On Call Nursing Supervisor
Under the supervision of the Pinecrest Administrator, organizes and directs the nursing and health care services on a scheduled shift. Administers medications and treatments as required and maintains appropriate records. Supervises and directs other facility staff on an assigned shift and assists them as necessary in carrying out their job functions. Greets and assists visitors to the facility and answers incoming telephone calls. Oversees the residents and assists and encourage them in their daily activities, interactions and problem resolutions.
Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan. Two years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric rehabilitation setting in long-term care, home health, residential housing or a similar setting which provided care to gerontology and/or mentally and physically disabled clients. Able to become certified in CPR and First Aid.
Salary $21.10/hr. Position will remain open until filled.
On-Call Resident Associate
Midland County Adult Residential Care Facility seeking individuals to work casual, on-call hours, with the potential of working into a part-time position. Must be available to work all shifts with a special needs population. Valid driver's license and high school diploma required. Experience in housekeeping and personal care a plus. Salary $13.73/hour.
