On Call Nursing Supervisor 

Under the supervision of the Pinecrest Administrator, organizes and directs the nursing and health care services on a scheduled shift.  Administers medications and treatments as required and maintains appropriate records.  Supervises and directs other facility staff on an assigned shift and assists them as necessary in carrying out their job functions.  Greets and assists visitors to the facility and answers incoming telephone calls.  Oversees the residents and assists and encourage them in their daily activities, interactions and problem resolutions. 

Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan.  Two years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric rehabilitation setting in long-term care, home health, residential housing or a similar setting which provided care to gerontology and/or mentally and physically disabled clients.  Able to become certified in CPR and First Aid.

Salary $16.20/hr.  Position will remain open until filled.

On-Call Universal Worker

Midland County Adult Residential Care Facility seeking individuals to work casual, on-call hours, with the potential of working into a part-time position.  Must be available to work all shifts with a special needs population.  Valid driver's license and high school diploma required.  Experience in housekeeping and personal care a plus. Salary $11.63/hour.

Registered Sanitarian

Under the supervision of the Public Health Officer, inspects commercial, residential, and public locations in the county to enforce federal, state, and county sanitation and environmental health laws to safeguard the public health. Reviews plans, blueprints, and specifications for construction of new facilities or renovation of existing structures. Investigates complaints of violations of environmental health laws and assists the public with complaints and questions regarding sanitation and environmental health matters. Reviews plans for commercial systems that require review and approval by a registered sanitarian. Assists with the development and review of departmental policies and procedures and may act as a specialist for specific programs.

Bachelor’s Degree in environmental health or related field and three years of progressively more responsible experience in environmental health and health programs. Must be a Registered Sanitarian.

Current salary range starting at $45,177 progressing to $58,739 (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.

Public Health Officer

Under the direction of the Administrator/Controller, serves as chief operating officer of the Health Department and develops and implements programs and policies to meet the public health needs of the community. Directly manages the non-medical operations of the department, researches and makes recommendations for policy changes, and oversees the development of the departmental budget. Administers and enforces local, state and federal health laws. Serves as the Environmental Health Director for the department.

Job requirements include: Master’s Degree in public health administration, or a related field and seven years of progressively more responsible experience in public health administration. Registered Sanitarian preferred. Valid Michigan Vehicle Operator’s License. Thorough knowledge of the professional public management techniques involved in budgeting, personnel administration, and resource management, and the ability to identify and implement new best practices. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of population health, the State Public Health Code, State Communicable Disease Rules, Safe Drinking Water Act, and the Michigan Food Code. Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of public health, applicable local, state and federal laws and rules, budgetary and fiscal management, and strategic planning.

Current salary range starting at $80,412.80 progressing to $104,540.80 (7 year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.
