The following confidential services are available through the Midland County Health Department’s Communicable Disease Clinic: 

  • Communicable Disease Investigation and Surveillance
  • Tuberculosis (TB) Surveillance and Case Management
  • Foodborne Outbreak Investigations
  • Rabies Investigation and Surveillance
  • Community Education Related to Communicable Diseases
  • Disease surveillance in local community schools

Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's) or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) are passed from one person to another during sexual contact or exposure to infected bodily fluids. Some STI's are curable, while others are not. Many are symptomless, but can cause severe damage if left untreated.

  • Testing and treatment for the most common STI's available.
  • Partner notification, treatment and referral services are available.
  • Services are provided on a sliding fee basis and may be free of charge.
  • All services are confidential.
