The Midland County Adult Drug Court is geared toward addressing the needs of non-violent adult felons with substance abuse disorders. Due to local use patterns and associated criminal justice problems the Midland County Adult Drug Court will specifically target individuals between the age of 18-30 years old, whose primary drug of choice is opiates or methamphetamine but all offenders meeting eligibility criteria will be considered. The Drug Court will focus attention to those individuals whom active addiction is the primary concern. The program will not exclude an otherwise appropriate offender strictly for failing to meet the target population criteria. Admission into the program is subject to the team discretion.
